The Avance Homes Process

Below is our step by step process to help you understaned what happens from start to finish. From the first meeting to final walkthrough, our team will guide you through each stage and make sure you feel confident every step of the way.
Step One:
Initial Consulation
We start by meeting with the customer to learn about their vision for the home. This includes discussing the size of the home, style, budget, timeline, lot location, family needs, and any special features they want included. This step helps us understand what the customer is looking for and allows us to explain how the custom home building process works.
Step Two:
Design & Planning
After the first meeting, we begin working on the design and layout of the home. This may include working with an architect, designer, or draftsman to create floor plans, exterior elevations, and overall home design. During this stage, the customer can make decisions about room layouts, exterior style, garage size, finishes, and other important details.
Step Three:
Budget & Estimate
Once the design is developed, we prepare a detailed estimate for the project. This includes the expected cost of labor, materials, subcontractors, permits, site work, and finish selections. We also review allowances for items such as flooring, cabinets, countertops, lighting, and plumbing fixtures so the customer understands what is included in the price.
Step Four:
Contract & Permits
When the plans and budget are approved, we move forward with the construction contract. The contract explains the project scope, payment schedule, estimated timeline, and responsibilities of both the builder and customer. After the contract is signed, we submit the required plans and documents to the city or county for building permits
Step Five:
Pre-construction meeting
Before construction begins, we hold a pre-construction meeting with the customer. During this meeting, we review the final plans, schedule, jobsite rules, communication expectations, and any last-minute details. This helps make sure everyone is on the same page before work starts.
Step Six:
Construction phase
This is where the home starts to come to life. Construction usually begins with site work, excavation, foundation, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, drywall, flooring, cabinets, trim, paint, and final finishes. Throughout the build, inspections are completed, progress updates are given, and the customer may be involved in making final selections.
